How to use Logo Grid Generator V2

Logo Grid Generator was created with logo designers in mind. A tool built for simplicity, making it incredibly easy for designers to use seamlessly in Adobe illustrator.

Grid Components

There are 4 grid components that you can generate:

• Anchors
• Handles
• Outlines
• Gridlines

Each component serves a distinct purpose, enabling faster grid creation and making it easier to spot errors in your logos.

How to Generate Grids Instantly

There's two ways to generate grids:

• The first method involves first selecting your desired components individually, and then clicking 'Generate'.
• The second method is to simply click 'Generate All'.

How to Find Errors

Identifying errors is highly beneficial when using this tool. The most effective grid components for this task are 'Anchors' and 'Gridlines'.

• You can identify errors with the Anchors Grid Component by spotting duplicated anchors that are positioned too closely and may be overlapping. Correcting this error ensures that there will be no visible pivots in your designs, particularly when they are printed.
• You can identify errors using the Gridlines Component by checking for the following issues after generating the grid. If gridlines don't appear, it indicates that the lines are not straight and may have a slight curve. In this case, consider recreating the line and generating it again. Additionally, you can spot errors if there are gaps between the logo and the gridlines, which may suggest that the angle is inconsistent with the rest of the logo.

How to Increase Anchor & Handles Sizes

Logo Grid Generator V2 gives you access to the Customization tab where you have a wide range of adjustments.

To increase Anchor and Handle sizes, here is what you can do:

• Increase the number in the box using the arrow key or entering a value

How to Change Anchor & Handles Stroke Weight

To increase Stroke weights, here is what you can do:

• Select the arrow keys (up or down) to adjust the size. Alternatively, you can enter a value.

How to Change Colours

To change colours of any grid component, here is what you can do:

• Select the Fill or Stroke
• Choose your desired colour and select OK
• If you want to flip the colours, you can select the curved arrow on the left

How to adjust Gridline Sensitivity

The Gridline Sensitivity slider has 3 levels:

• Low: Very rigid and only shows gridlines for vertical and horizontal repeated angles in the logo
• Medium: More relaxed, and shows gridlines for vertical, horizontal and more angles that do not appear multiple times
• High: Acts the same as Medium level, but also shows gridlines for vertical and horizontal circular shapes

How to use Circular Trajectories

Circular Trajectories are the circle gridlines that can be found in rounded logos. To use this, do the following:

• Activate the feature by clicking the toggle

• Choose the sensitivity level by using the slider

• Choose the number of circles per curve
